Literary Love: Literary Lacquers

I couldn't wait to share this with you!

Some things are meant to be together!

Wouldn't you agree:
  • peanut butter and jelly
  • soup and salad
  • macaroni and cheese
  • peas and carrots
  • salt and pepper
  • cheese and crackers
  • chocolate chip cookies and milk

This "Literary Love" comes from things that are meant to be together.
From the talented Amy Milder, owner of Literary Lacquer,
from her two favorite loves comes:

Nail Lacquers and Literary Novels.
I chose to review "Green Gables Collection" which consists of six bottles:

"Carrots Carrots"

L: "Anne with an 'E' "
R: "Raspbery Cordial"

"Lake of Shining Waters"

"Green Gables"

"Marilla's Amethyst Brooch"

The lovely bottles came in a simple, brown package.
The box and inside packaging is  100% compostable and recyclable

Amy 's interpretations of her favorite literary novels translates beautifully into an array of colorful mementos significant to each novel.

Each full-size glass bottle is filled with 15 mL of sparkly nail lacquer and is "f3" so it's free of Formeldahyde, Toluene, and Dibutyl Phathalate (DBP).

Each of the lacquers paint on smoothly, don't require more than one coat, and wear very well throughout the day.

Hand modeled pictures can be found here

I absolutely love the collection and I hope you will too!!

Literary Love: Thornfield Hall Designs

A fine old hall. A respectable place. A safe haven. A backdrop for grandeur. Katie Pritchard, owner of the Etsy shop, Thornfield Hall Designs creates literary apparel befitting of Jane Austen's approval. Opened May 9, 2013, her shop enables people to take their favorite quotes with them everywhere.

Without further ado, I give you, Katie Pritchard's of Thornfield Designs.
This month's Literary Love, who has graciously allowed me to review the following item:

The shirt arrived in a very simplistic package:

An elegant touch:

True care and devotion for what she sells:

The shirt is comprised of 55% cotton and 45% polyester. It is a very small shirt so she recommends ordering a size larger than you would normally wear. In conversation, she stated, "I have two sizing pictures that include size information for the shirt- one that has measurement information and one that lets you take a t-shirt you already own and you know fits and measure it (flat, only on one side) and pick the closest size shirt of mine."

The scoop neck, cap sleeves, and scrolling letters create an alluring look reminiscent of those found during Jane Austen's era.

Every quote is designed and hand-pressed by Katie using eco-friendly ink which is heat-sealed for lasting wearability.

I absolutely love the shirt! I chose the quote,
"For pity’s sake, Anne, hold your tongue. You talk entirely too much for a little girl. -Marilla".

I have gotten compliments and chuckles whenever I have worn it.
A great shirt just in time for summer!

Check out the button on the side which is a direct link to her Etsy shop!

Look for her "Soul Craft" next week!

Literary Love: Bookish Charm

I have started new project. As I have let some of my followers know, there are big plans in the works.

A couple of weeks ago, I shared a post,Literary Love, where I share things on Etsy that I have found, loved, and thought you would love too! Every month will feature a new literary artist from Etsy. I will also write a "Soulcraft" post letting you, my followers, take a behind-the-scenes look at the artist and his/her shop.

I have been in touch with Erin Johnson of the Etsy shop, Bookish Charm, and she has graciously agreed to let me review the following item.

Erin notified me that she sent it USPS first class priority mail complete with a tracking number. I totally loved seeing its journey to my house! It arrived in a small box with the cutest sticker on the side:

When I opened the box, I was greeted with a sweet message and a very cool find:

The pendant size is displayed here and it was true to size when it arrived.  I LOVED the dedication and artwork she put into every part of the package from the quote on the inside of the necklace box to the sweet thank-you envelope.  The circular 1.5x1.5 flowery pendant is very feminine and is attached to a 30 inch bronze chain with a lobster clasp. The back of the pendant is a smooth mahogany back. It is sealed for protection which gives it a finished, sleek look.  I am proudly  telling all of my family and friends that she is the go-to-girl for great literary gifts!

Meet Erin, her husband, and their craft tomorrow on Soul Craft
