Accepting Books

If I accept a book for review, that does not guarantee a reivew, but it does guarantee promotion through my blog, my Good Reads page, and on my Twitter.
I will make every effort to read and review in a timely fashion and with regard to release dates, but I cannot guarantee this. I prefer to receive a book 3-4 months prior to when you would like the review posted.

Reviews

I will write a review for almost every young adult book I finish. Many reviews will also be posted on my blog,Goodreads, and will be promoted through Twitter.
My reviews are written in a relaxed manner. They are not meant to be objective/professional literary critiques.

I write fair and honest reviews, but this does not mean I will always write positive reviews. My reviews  reflect my opinion, and if I don’t enjoy a book then my review will reflect that.

I do NOT write nasty or rude commentary about the author.

Review Format

All reviews will include the following:

  • Book stats: Title, author, publisher, release date, series number
  • Picture displaying some aspect of the novel
  • Where I received the book
  • My own summary of the book
  • My review: What I liked and didn't
  • Rating

 Rating:
"5"= I loved this book and want to own a copy!
"4"= I really enjoyed this book.
"3"=is for a book that was "above average," though not exactly my tastes.
"2"= Significant number of things I didn't like that negatively impacted my overall enjoyment, though I may still have liked some parts of this book.
"1"= I really didn’t like this book at all.

The above button will be attached to any book which I felt resonated with me and made me take a deeper look into a topic, hence the glasses. Most of the time they are the books that I need to own and will reread over and over again because something about the story or the characters really resounded with me.

Each book will be rated according to its genre. That means a MG book, a YA book, and an adult book may all receive the same rating, but they are not equivalent to one another. Ratings are based on my personal enjoyment of the book and are not meant to be objective ratings.
