Blog Tour: Emma's Secret

Emma's Secret

Steena Holmes

Amazon Publishing

Book Summary:

For two years, Megan, Peter, and their two older daughters, Alexis and Hannah, dream of nothing but being reunited with the family’s youngest child, Emma, who was kidnapped just before her third birthday. When Emma is miraculously found living with an elderly couple just miles from the family’s home, they are hopeful that her return will heal the wounds her disappearance created. But Emma is vastly different from the sunny toddler they remember. She barely remembers her parents or her older sisters. She is quiet and withdrawn, and, worst of all, longs for the very people who kidnapped her. Megan is consumed with bitterness, while Peter works later and later nights in the company of his gorgeous business partner. And in the middle of everything, Megan’s best friend has become suddenly distant and secretive. Then a chance encounter in town leads to a secret that changes everything again for Emma. And Peter must decide between the happiness of his youngest daughter and the trust of his family.

Author Interview:

Q: How was writing the "Emma" series different from writing "Dear Jack"?
With 'Dear Jack', I was able to focus more on Dottie and her character - which I loved. She is such a strong woman and I wanted readers to understand her a bit more and get more depth on her and Jack's history together. I really enjoyed just focusing on them - it was fun!

Q: What prompted you to write a second novel about Emma in "Emma's Secret"?
My readers! When I wrote Finding Emma, I never intended to write a follow-up - but I had so many readers email me asking for more details about Jack and Emma that I couldn't 'not' write Emma's Secret. And I'm so glad I did!

Q: A proceed of every sale from  "Finding Emma" went to help the "Missing Children Society of Canada." Did you always feel drawn to this organization or did the concept of your book lead you to help this organization in particular?
While researching about missing children, I came across "MCSC" and realized they were a local charity that I could get involved with. I love being able to donate sales from Finding Emma to them. Every little bit helps.

Q: Can we expect more books about Emma and her family in the future?
Not at this time. There is a storyline in Emma's Secret that I might develop more in the future - but it's of Mary and Dottie.

Q Who is your favorite character in "Emma's Secret" and are they similar to anyone you know in real life?
Jack. He's my favorite. He's a combination of my father and my grandfather and I used my maiden name for him. He's the perfect grandfather. He loves Dottie with all his heart and would do anything for her. He's selfless and gruff - but like a teddy bear :)

Q: Are there any  new series in the making?
There is! One I'm very excited about. It'll be a 5 book series centered around a small town and how it handles a terrible tragedy. Book One will be released in the Fall. Keep an eye on my website - www.steenaholmes.com for more information!
As this was my first blog tour ever, I have had a great experience and I look forward to more upcoming tours!
