She is a wine connoisseur, which just really means she knows she loves it, and a caffeine addict. When she isn’t busy with her family she finds herself being transported into the world of imagination. Well, either that or running away from spiders…she is convinced they are out to get her!












My Thoughts:

Sometimes you read a book and think, Wow! The author must have had you in mind when he/she wrote it. It has everything you love: suspense, love, betrayal, a really good plot, and a fierce heroine. You want to shout it from the rooftops how amazing this book is and keep it on your shelf tucked away for when you need a good laugh all at the same time. I know I have felt this way about Kinetic.
I LOVED this book! It is full of everything awesome and scary.

The book is set in the future and features a set of complex individuals all endowed with super-human abilities by a secret conglomerate known as "the organization". Annie, the main character, is known as a "luminary" and can kick the bad guy's butts with her super strength. When she meets her ex-husband, Nick, known as the enemy, while on a mission, she quite doesn't muster the strength to kill him as instructed. It easy to see her struggle with her feelings for her old flame while she tries to kindle a new one with her current beau throughout the book. The conversations and thoughts shared between characters were very funny and really furthered the plot. I loved the romance between Nick and Annie and really rooted for their relationship despite their past circumstances. The fight scenes were exhilarating complete with a maniacal villain.

The only reason I am lamenting the end of this book is because there will be ANOTHER ONE. It talks about Kevin, Nick's brother, who you will fall in love with. I guarantee it. I can't wait for you check out this powerhouse of a book and I hope that it becomes YOUR BOOK too when it comes to your local library, bookstore, or e-reader near you!
